Freedom Challenge Week 2

1. Training for half-marathon in October. Yes I have started to train.
2. Save money for race in October. I have the money put back for the registration for the race, might pay it tomorrow after I see what happens with the hubby court date over a supposedly unpaid ticket for 2006, we paid it again last week, just have to appear before the judge about the warrant thats been out since then and we never knew, he been stopped since then and it never showed up till the other day. Then save a little each week till race day. And my mom going with me so we will do a little shopping.
3. Declutter my home. Working on this. This will be a project that takes awhile.
4. Spend quality time with friends and family, especially hubby. Hubby and I had a date night and hope to have another soon. Spend time with his sister and her hubby over the weekend and helped them moved.

So I didn't do much around my house and didn't get any real exercise in, the heat drained me from this weekend.

Another Year Older

Today I turn another year older. I done well this first week as far as my freedom challenges goes, but on the other hand my eating not so well, I been eating oreo's cookies almost everyday for the last week or so, I kind of know why, but its strange because I'm not a big sweets(cookies, cakes, pies, donughts) type person. But I think its because I've seeing chances in myself, like the way I look, the pounds slowly coming off, and maybe its scaring me just a little. I think I'm so used to being a bigger person, that I don't know what to do seeing the changes and realizing I might actually one day make it to my ultimate goal. And also maybe being a little depressed, this is the first year I haven't looked forward to my birthday, I'm not where I pictured my life being and some of that I can change and hopefully will over this next year and somethings I might have to accept some dreams may not ever come true, will be leaving that in Gods hand.

I will be celebrating my birthday with a wonderful homemade dinner cooked by me. Crablegs, corn, potatoes, and maybe some squash and zucchini I picked from my garden. Haven't decided if I'll go get my an angel food cake and strawberries for desert or not yet.

Each day is a new day and you have a fresh start, so today is about making the best choices I can. Letting go of the past and not worrying about tomorrow, easier said than done. I have to remind myself this is journey and there will be bumps in the road, and I'm the one who can choose how to overcome the bump. So I when I get home today I will be hiding them cookies so I won't be eating them, maybe the hubby will happly finish them off and if not then I'll think of something.

Its My Time and a new challenge The Freedom Challlenge

I've decide to join Deb's over Will be Thin for her Freedom Challenge.

My Goals for this challenge that last 4 weeks July 5 thru August 2nd.

1. Start training for a half marathon.
2. Save the money to enter said half marathon in October. Have to enter early because it limited to 1700 people and it fulls up quickly.
3. Declutter my home. Make it a peaceful place to come home too.
4. Spend more quality time with my family and friends, especially my hubby.

I will achieve my goals.

In my TOPS group our theme this years is Our Time. I haven't really made much time for me, at least I don't think so, my hubby might disagree with me. But for this month I will make a good effort at doing things that will help me on my weight loss journey. I have planned our supper menu out for the month already and will be making my exercise schedule up for me to stick too as well. I planning on doing some activities with my family and friends that will burn calories but allow us to hang out and have fun at the same time. We will see how it goes. I will updated every Monday on how I'm doing on my challenge.
