Progress Is Being Made

I been so busy have blogged, but taking a few minutes to share with you the events from the last couple days. I walked Thursday night, gave my group their training schedule for the rest of the clinic. Then I hurriedly went off to TOPS fearing a no weight lose week. Boy was I surprised when I got on the scale and I seen it move...........DOWN, YAH ME I lost 2lbs last week. I was so excited. Friday I spent the evening at home with the hubby taking it easy, then on Saturday made the trip to see my friend and her new baby girl. Sunday was church day came home had lunch then laid down for a nap, then my mom called which is unusal most the time I call her, I knew the moment I saw it was her something wasn't right, sure enough it wasn't my papa has had a heart attack they believe. So when she called and said he was stabilized and they were transferrring him to Texarkana and got up and took off down there. I love my papa so much after a 2 hour drive and a little bit of waiting I was able to go back and see him. After visting for a little well, and a quick bite to eat I headed home. Got back around midnight.Thankfully he will be okay, they done a heart cath on him this morning and they will put a stint in either today or tomorrow. Not sure what this means as far as our anniversary trip this coming weekend yet. Now to my menu planning, and for more ideas visit I'm An Organizing Junkie.

Monday- Meatball Subs
Tuesday- Deer Meat, Green Beans, Corn
Wednesday-Roast with potaotes, carrots and rolls
Thursday Buffalo Chicken Strips, Fries

And the rest of the week we will play by ear for now since we are supposed to be in Mount View on our anniversary vacation. I plan on cooking in the cabin if we still go and maybe eating out the day of our anniversary. We will see what happens. I hope we still go and if we do I plan on doing some hiking and taking some pictures.

TGIF

I'm so glad its Friday. I went to my TOPS meeting and weighted in last night, glad to say I turtled, meaning I didn't gain or lose. We had officer election last night, and I was elected to Co-Leader. I'm excited about it, hopefully it will me work harder each week so I can set a good example. Today was another frustrating day at work. Then tonight I went to church for the start of Walk with Jesus weekend. It was awesome, tonight sermon and small group talk was about having an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. Believe me when I say my attitude this week has been awful, so things being said to night spoke to me a lot. I can feel God working on my heart, I praying to be able hear what his plans are for me so I can do it. The rest of the walk is tomorrow form 1 to 8, I'm so looking forward to it. Then on Sunday my parents may come up for a visit so I'll have to carve out some time for cleaning and hitting the grocery store maybe before they come. Hope everyone has a great weekend. As you see I gained the courage to post my weight and measurements, am hoping to adding a spot to track my walking/running training time. Doing this keeps me accountable.

Numbers Game

I met with a personal trainer yesterday that I meet at the Women Can Run clinic. She had offered everyone in attendance a change to have the weight, measurement and body fat measurement taken at the start of the clinic and then again at the end of the clinic. I know my weight from going to TOPS but I was curious about my overall measurements and my how much body fat I was carry around. Some of the numbers were a little shocking for me and others about what I figured they would be. So I'm issuing myself a personal challenge to change them numbers during this 10 week clinic and I know that means I have to step up my training and add some strengthening training to my routine. I'm thinking about hiring her to help me set up at home strengthening training regiment, because I can't afford to join a gym plus don't want to have to drive 30 minutes or more to town to do that and on the days I drive in for the clinic I don't have to time afterwards to hit the gym for 30 or 45 minutes. I need to have time at home with my hubby and fur children. Its hard finding a balance with all this. I'm trying to find courage to side up my weekly weight tracking log and measurement log on here.

I was excited this morning when I opened my email and looked at the sing up rooster for WCR and seen there were 6 walker besides me and the other leader. I plan on leading one day and on the other day maybe running with the beginner running group, plus add some running time into the other walking day I meet with my buddy.

So if anyone has any suggestion for me as far strengthening training at home please feel free to share.

Catching Up

I neglected my blog lately, because its been a busy time for me and computer issue. I had my TOPS meeting on Thursday night. To find out more about TOPS click on the link. I proudly announce I lost 1lb. which I was happy since it was that T.O.M. Had a nice relaxing weekend with my hubby. We did some shopping, I got my a used mountain bike, so now I can do that as well as walk. I also bought me an office chair and new printer, so when I get off work today, it time to tackle the clutter in my home office corner. Then yesterday was the first meeting of our local chapter of Women Can Run. I'm helping lead the walking group, but as time goes on I hoping to join the Beginning Run Group A. I done the walking for a year, and would like to try running some. We will see how my body handles it. We meet two days a week, on Monday and Thursday. My walking buddy and I will still meet once or twice more a week without the group. We have decided not to today though since its so cold here again, so I'll selecting one of my dvds to do when I get home.
