Planning out My Week Monday

I was way to busy this weekend to plan out my week till today. So after I walked, yes am finally back at it, I went grocery shopping for the week. Spent more than I have in a long time, but I also get a lot of food, including fresh veggies and fruits. I told you I would let you know about my wonderful weekend, so Saturday we started the day off getting me new tires for my suv then headed to Little Rock done an errand for work then headed off to do some shopping. I finally able to get me some new running shoes, then off to get the hubby some boots and a light weight jacket. Then we ate at Hooters, it was good food, but so bad for me I'll can see the scale climbing again this week. Then we came home and I ran back into Hot Springs to get our ticket for Willie Nelson and did some shopping on my on. Went to the Shoe store and got me a pair of sandals and boots that were both on clearance love it when that happens. Then on to JCPenny for some new jeans and a button done shirt to go over the top I was wearing to the concert, had a coupon plus the shirt was on clearance and the pants were on sales. I hated I couldn't find my favorite jeans in my size, but I think the one I got looked good. Sunday it was church, then home to cook lunch and read before time to get ready for the concert. We went out to eat at Coltons before hand and I think I made better decison that I did on Saturday. Then off to the concerted we went, I loved it, I was just surprised there wasn't more people there.


Me and walking buddy is planning on doing a 5k race in Benton Saturday depending on the weather. So we are walking more this week, to get ready for it. Now on the menu for the week. For more ideas visit I'm an Organizing Junkie.

Frozen Beef Ravoli with Marina Sauce and a salad

Tuesday
Roast with potatoes and carrots (crockpot while am at work and walking) & rolls

Wednesday
Baked Chicken of some kind, baked potatoes, and baked beans

Thursday
Sausage & Sarukarrette, carrots, lima beans

Friday
Spaghetti and a salad

Now off to pick up my kitchen enough that I can make breakfast in the morning and prepare my lunch and snacks for tomorrow. Enjoy a couple pictures from this weekend .

Discouraged

Well we didn't have TOPS last week but we meet tonight, I know going in to expect a gain, with the last two weeks daily struggle I've had with my blood pressure, I just know. I was hoping it wouldn't be as much as it was. I did try to watch what I ate, but this week my eating was crappy and I admit it, I felt so awful with headaches, being tired, no energy because my blood pressure was running so high and we changed medicine last week and then again this week. It has slowly came down and I"m starting to feel normal again. Yes I'm young to have blood pressure problem, but it stems from having Poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome and it does run in my family, I have been dealing with since I was 18 and thats been 8 years ago. I hope and pray that this next week gets better. On a good note I did walk two days this week and me and my walking partner are doing our first race of the year on the 27th of the month its just 5k, trying to find another 10k to do soon. I did one 5k and one 10k last year and I enjoyed them both so much. Hope know that I"m starting to feel better, I can get back to blogging a little more regularly. I have an exciting weekend that am looking forward to. Going to get new shoes and hoping to get some more walking/running gear and then Sunday night we are going on our late Valentine Date, we are going to watch Willie Nelson. Will try to post some pictures this weekend.

A New Day

Well thankfully the weather didn't get as bad as the weather people predicted. So I was able to get up and go to my doctor, which was no fun for me. We did my yearly exam, took blood and change my blood pressure around When I went to bed last night it was 168/125 and this morning when I got up it was 165/119 and when I was at the doctor it was 265/110. So afterward I headed back to work where I could feel it getting higher, by this time my head was pounding, it felt like it might explode. After work I head to town to get my medicine and to do my grocery shopping. I waited in line for a good 30 minutes or more at walmart to get my medicine. I get it there because its on their cheap $4,$6,$8, $10 plans depending on which meds i get. I've decided to see about moving them over to kroger since they have the same type of programs. I picked hubby up some subway and I had picked up a chicken kabob that was on clearance. So I made that for me and some uncle ben's wild rice in the microwave. I took one of my pills and my blood pressure is coming down. I'm going to head off to bed and see if I can get a good night sleep.

When will winter end?

I'm so tired of the cold, rain, sleet, ice, and snow. It is messing up my walking/running routine. I'm not as dedicated as some people I know. I will not get out and run in the rain or snow, I can't afford taking the risk of getting sick. And for whatever reason I'm to lazy to do my workout dvd at home, I praying God to help me move through this unwillness. I hope to sleep good tonight and try to get up early and do a little bit of dvd before work maybe. I have a doctor appt. in the morning for the lovely yearly check up and to see how my new blood pressure meds are working. Of course it depends on how the roads are in the morning if I will go to my appointment.



As far as my weekend it was wonderful. I ended up heading down to my parents late Friday night and stayed till Sunday afternoon. My cousin had a very pretty wedding and I got to spend some much needed time with my family.

The Weekend

I'm happy to report am down 2lbs this week, not sure how since I hadn't really exercised, but I was watching what I ate. I'm excited to make a trip to see my family tomorrow and see my cousin get married. I believe am supposed to help serve, maybe that will help me stay out of the things I don't need to be eating. Its about a 2hr drive down, so I think a pack some healthy snacks and some water to take with me. We are going early so I can spend sometime with my grandparents and parents before the wedding, since we will more than likely drive home afterward. Taking the hubby to get a haircut today and I need to get a few things to wear for the wedding myself. Hope everyone is has a wonderful and fun weekend.

Changing My Thinking

Glad to say we have internet again. I have been praying about several things lately and I believe some of my prayers may be answered. I was blessed this week with a new to me smooth ceramic top stove and a newer but still old bigger refrigerator. My house is old and falling apart, but these to appliance made me feel like I have a new kitchen, which has lead me to clean it and hopefully keep it clean. Now I'm been working on clean my old ones so we can bless someone else with them. I been reading a blog called running in the delta, and had asked her for a list of songs that she listen to when she runs, she was so kind to post them for me along with some of her readers so I will be updating my playlist and will try to post tomorrow some that I listen too as well. Tonight is my TOPS meeting and we will see how I done this week. I completed week one of the challenge over at All the Weigh, which was eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, I would say I done okay 4 out the 7 days I hit my goal, the other 3 I done well on. This week challenge is 8-8oz of water, so we will see how that goes. Will update tonight or tomorrow after my meeting.
